ADT has been the most trusted brand in smart home and small business security for more than 147 years. With more than 6 million customers, ADT is the largest security company in the United States with more than 20,000 employees in over 300 locations across the country. Through innovative products, partnerships, and the largest network of smart home security professionals in the United States, ADT connects and protects what matters most to its customers at home, work, and on the go.
Together, Sunflower Labs and ADT are jointly exploring technology that integrates ADT’s mobile safety platform, Safe by ADT, directly into the Sunflower Labs Beehive System to help improve the device’s video monitoring capabilities.
The goal of the integration is to provide customers with the option to request assistance from ADT’s professionally trained monitoring agents with a push of a button. ADT’s monitoring agents can then directly deploy and control a Bee, the Sunflower Labs security drone, to the location of the alarm event in seconds.
The Bee’s high-quality live video footage improves visibility, even in low light conditions, which can help enhance an ADT monitoring agent’s ability to analyze and assess security conditions in the area near the alarm event. The integration also plans to test the drone’s ability to dynamically follow and monitor if the situation changes location.
Sunflower Labs and ADT are excited to embark on a shared vision for the future of mobile security, where robotics, autonomy, and AI can increase safety, flexibility, and continuity.
